review 1: The way this book was narrated was very fluid, everything flowed nicely. I think my favorite part of this whole book was how well it was narrated. I didn't like the main character, Sophie, as well as her cousin, Veronica. Veronica was smart and strong-willed, she had a powerful placing in the book. She countlessly reminded me of Hermione Granger, from the Harry Potter series. Altogether this book felt well put together.
review 2: I really adored this book. I really liked how the story is told through the journals of Sophie, as this set a fast pace for the novel. The historical events leading up to WWII that are discussed in the book were also intriguing, and I feel as though the novel did a great job at detailing society life during this time period.
