review 1: Di buku kedua ini lumayan penuh kejutan karena tiba-tiba Nikki mendapati Rhys jadi murid baru di sekolahnya. Parahnya lagi, sobatnya Nikki, Melinda, malah sepertinya jatuh cinta pada pandangan pertama sama Rhys dan pingin dia jadi pacarnya.Tapi fokus di buku ini lebih ke petualangannya Nikki pertama kali ke Underworld. Di sana dia bakal ketemu semacam petinggi-petinggi Underworld yang diantaranya Queen Sephina, Ratu dari Underworld itu sendiri. Banyak kejadian menarik sekaligus menegangkan yang ditemui Nikki dalam perjalanannya itu, mulai dari Michael yang bertemu bangsa Shadows lain selain dia, lalu ada demon princess lain seperti Nikki yang merupakan anak cewek Queen Sephina, dan anggota petinggi Underworld lain yang punya latar belakang unik-unik.Dan di sini masih kelih... moreatan jelas kalau ternyata Papanya Nikki yang juga Demon King ternyata masih cinta sama ibunya Nikki, tapi mereka belum bisa bersama karena peraturan-peraturan Underworld yang punya sanksi tegas dan bisa berakibat kematian ke ibunya Nikki. Dilihat aja nanti kelanjutannya di buku ketiga dan keempat bagaimana. Semoga berakhir dengan manis dan epic ya :D
review 2: So I’m behind on posting my reviews of books I’ve read. I can’t quite remember when I finished this but, like the last Demon Princess book, it was a quick and action-packed read. Rowen sets up the series nicely and is able to segue into her second book easily. This book picks up seamlessly from the first and has more love triangle and teen drama that the young adult readers love. As I said in my review of the first book, the teen language seems a bit off and sometimes the first person of a 16 year old girl’s lingo just gets a bit annoying. But, it’s easy to deal with when you want to know what’s going to happen next. There is violence and death in this book, plus a lot of making-out. Also, when you finish you’ll be wanting more (I’ve already read the third book ["Reign Fall"], which the author published herself, and she is also writing a fourth book for the series called “Reign Storm”). This book is intended for readers in grades 6-10. less
