review 1: An interesting, if a little pedestrian, story. I was relieved that the ending didn't immediately scream 'first in a series' (although I suspect that is probably the case because standalone books seem to be out of vogue these days so I'm sure '0.5' or whatever will soon be out there, if not already). Solid take on the teen dystopia that will have you looking at your GP in an entirely different light.
review 2: This was a fairly entertaining junior-level book about a fairly entertaining sci-fi concept. I didn't feel like the "twist" or "reveal" was exciting or thoughtful, but it is what it is. I enjoyed how it was simple and fast. The chapters were creatively broken by inserts from the narrator citing things referenced by the main characters story recorded on t... moreape, and gave a cute futuristic perspective to some current-day things we take for granted. less
