review 1: I am not a sports person and I can honestly say that I did not know who Mike Greenberg was until I read something about him through this book. I did enjoy reading this book because I felt a connection by the womens' lives explained in this book. I have seen and heard from my friends that have gone through similar experiences in their lives that were told in this book. The cancer part I did not see it coming, but I really liked it because I could relate to the feelings they had during the time of healing. On the side note, Mike may not know how to describe women or their lives, but only you as a person knows yourself too well. He may have not told every little detail of their lives but he captured some point of their personality and how they lived their lives. I do plan on ... morereading more of Mikes books in the future and I hope he keeps writing. I might even have to get into the sports hype.
review 2: This book reads like a summer beach read, but resonated with me so much more than any of those. I think Greeney did pretty well with the voices of women. One complaint is that they were all waspy rich gals from Greenwich, so that makes so many of the things they go through quite far removed from the experiences of regular American women. But, I said he did pretty well. I never in a million years would have predicted that I would read the whole book tonight and end it in tears with a wet pillow. Not bad, Greeney. less

Very nice, pleasant read. Three characters who are eventually tied together. Really enjoyed it.

Didn't love the language. I did like the way the three women's lives intertwined.
