review 1: I could not put this book down. I loved how the author just pulled you right into this very strong story line that has all the emotions, lots of humor, anger, grief, flustration, fear, pity and the strong pull of a mother's love. The characters are so awesome, I really wish they were real. I would love to have them as friends. The world would be a better place if there were more people like Leilani and Kale. Between the two of them they had enough love to make the world go around. Mano was such a lucky little guy to have someone like them in his corner. In my humble opinion this is an excellent read and is highly recommended.

The conflicts in the story are well defined and their resolution leaves you with the feeling that all is right in the world when love is put first. Yes, she brought me to tears. A great read, but make sure you have time before you start it, because it’s very hard to put down. less
