review 1: This was unduly optimistic in suggesting a shift of power from elites and corporations toward a broader, more diffuse power base as a consequence of social media. I wasn't particularly convinced, and the author makes a lot of claims but does not use many concrete examples. Moreover, the language was long on descriptors and multiple subjects or predicates, so it was often hard to pin down exactly who or what he was trying to describe.
review 2: It's a book about mind changing regarding our world views. In a sense, it guides the reader to an alternative way of reflecting about current problems, more long term. The current trend for instant "everything", from richess to power, corrupts us all. It acts like a drug that shadows reality. Naim teaches us something, in
... more a simple and effective way. Sometimes, he even reminds me of Nassim Taleb, for the easy recipe for adjusting our critical thinking, just not so radical in his views.Bottom lime: let yourself some time to "travel" along with Naim. I'm sure he will make you see the world in a different, more hopeful, light. less

Interesting and current. The problems are all over us, his framing is what makes the book.
