review 1: Good story, interesting characters, fascinating concept. Warning: the descriptions of the interrogation techniques used on suspected terrorists are not for the faint of heart. While these techniques seem outrageous in the context of the story, where they're used on an innocent man, I can only wonder what terrorist acts have been avoided due to the efforts of individuals like the members of the interrogation teams.
review 2: I *really* enjoyed this book. I stumbled across it as an Amazon freebie and was hooked. The only reason it took me 20 days to read is b/c I made the mistake of reading it at the same time as the Walking Dead comics. I'm a one-book-at-a-time kind of guy. Anyway, this is the tale of Mark Taylor, who discovers a camera while in Afghanistan. Thi
... mores mysterious camera prints out random pictures that show horrible accidents about to happen. That night, Mark dreams about the scene in the pics and is able to change the events (if he chooses to) to save lives. Things fall apart when a picture develops showing the events of 9/11. Mark tries to warn about the attacks and fails, and is then taken into federal custody, tortured and...well I won't spoil it but it's quite the adventure and the torture scenes are hard to get through at times. Mark is such a likeable character and I cannot wait to read the prequel and the other 2 books in the series!! Highly recommended! less
