review 1: ** I was given a complimentary ARC of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. **Please let this one be the right one...After Piper's revelation from the last book I thought goodness this poor girl just needs a hug. Brock couldn't have been more Mr. Wrong if he had horns and a pitch fork. My heart hurt for Piper and I was ready for her to find her happy... the question is to whom or where does that happiness lye? Julien, is handsome and understanding, never looks down on or makes Piper feel less for the life she was given. He's the shoulder she needs emotionally and the rock she needs to help her keep going. When she is faced with a "gift" from a person who she can't forget, Piper must decide if when faced with the ability to live her dream is it worth it.... more.. and what will it cost her in the long run. Will Julien and Pipers friendship be what she needs or will it be only the beginning of something even greater? Will she give into her feelings or will she get trapped by her past? I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to find out... Well done once again M.S. Parker, well done.
review 2: OMFG!!! I have to say, I didn't see the cliffhanger coming. There were other times in the previous 3 books I would have expected that....but I kinda thought Piper had made her point. Guess not. Lol. I waited & waited for this book to come out, couldn't get to lunch fast enough to get started on reading it, but of course,that didn't get to happen. lol. So I rushed home and counted down the hours until "my time" and once that happened, I read from start to finish Record time, 2 hours, with a bathroom break snuck in. I loved this story. Loved that Piper was finally getting some happiness & good in her life. Love Julian, he's so perfect...too perfect maybe?!?! However, I still find myself hoping Reed redeems himself somehow. I am so excited to get to 5, but so sad at the same time cause I know that's the end of another fantastic series!! less
