review 1: Short vignettes telling the story of what it was like growing up in China in the 1970's. Enjoyable with cute art, but I wish it were longer. However, the audience is children, so it's probably the perfect length to provide a picture of what growing up in China was like during this time period. Lots of bits that kids will be able to relate to their own lives - what happens when they leave some food on their plate, going to school, how they spend holidays and normal days, and so on.
