review 1: I'm not usually a fan of short stories but I actually enjoyed this book. That's not to say that I wouldn't have loved it if the stories were longer and had more character development, but, for a book of short stories, it wasn't half bad. The best thing about it is that I found 3 new authors to read. And, if their short stories are any indication, fun books to enjoy. My favorite story was Christmas past even though it was the most abrubt. What I liked most about it is that it's part of a series that sound like I would enjoy. It also reminded me that I still have to finish the Bullet Catchers series by Roxanne St. Claire. Secret Santa was the definatly the most heart-warming story. It was also the one where you got to know the characters most and I enjoyed the sense of being... more connected to the characters and getting to know them a little bit. However, the very abrubt ending sort of ruined it for me. I was going on enjoying the fact that Rob and Leanne were finally gonna give the romance between them a shot and then I flip the page over and it's the epilogue. I literally sat there and tried to figure out if i had skipped a page. There really should've been a smoother ending. Overall, not a bad book. I think I enjoyed it more because of all the christmasy things happening and I really started to get into the christmas spirit. What I really don't understand is why I love to read holiday books after the holiday season, but that's a discussion for another time.
review 2: I really enjoyed this year's edition of Harlequin's NASCAR holiday anthololgy series. they were cute and light hearted. Warren, Webb, and Wilkins are three of my favourite authors in the NASCAR banner, and these stories live up to expectations.I was particularly happy with Gina Wilkin's story "Secret Santa", and she really tugged on my heartstrings with this one.I would recommend the Harlequin NASCAR line to any fan of contemporary romance, even if you aren't a race fan. less

First one: cute, second: eh, third: meh, but 3 + 2.5 + 2 stars/3 still rounds up to 3 stars.
