review 1: Many kids have parents that do every day jobs, there is nothing wrong with that! What if your farther was a poet, what would you say then? Through the eyes of the author this book talks about what it's like to have a farther who is a poet. I really enjoyed the illustrations in the book. It just gave me a warm cozy feeling inside. The way the author showed how carrying the farther was towards his daughter reminded me of my family. The book uses bright colors and is a very happy feel good book. Another thing that I loved about the book was that the farther's poems were seen in parts of the book. Adding an even more personal touch to the book!
review 2: Robert Frost's oldest daughter shares about her life as well as her siblings. I enjoyed this story as I learn... moreed about one of my favorite poets. I remember my grandmother sharing his poem "The Road Not Taken" when I graduated. I will use this book as a mentor text for writing workshop the power of a memory and everyday life experience. In poetry, the beauty of words and importance of sharing our stories. less
