The Book of Awesome
review 1: So I bought this book during summer last year while I was in Australia and I began reading it. After about 10 pages I began to dislike it. Although the writing was good. So this summer I decided to give it another shot and It was great and I couldn't understand why i didn't like it a year ago. The concept of the book is it is full of short stories and accounts of simple things in life that make is happy or just small things in life that are AWESOME! Its a great read for everyone 12+ as there is some mature content. I would recommend this book to anyone.
review 2: Received this book at a work conference as it's not a book I would normally purchase on my own. It's designed as a blog turned novel. Even though the book is portrayed to be positive and uplifting I fo
... moreund it overall negative. Perhaps ignore feeling down this book will uplift you but if you are a positive person already you may find it lacking. Each Awesome thing is discovered in the midst of something negative so I guess it is uplifting to help you find the positive in the negative or to enjoy the little things in life. I did have a few that I enjoyed such as The Man Couch (the comfy chair for men to wait for ladies in stores), Adrenaline (for educational purposes) and When There is Ice Cream Left at the Bottom of the Cone (for obvious reasons). But in no way is this a novel but rather a collection of short stories about random little things that can be awesome when you stop to smell the roses. less
