review 1: The Break Up DiariesNi-Ni Simone and Kelli LondonThe break up Diaries is the perfect book for young teenage girls to read after a bad break up. This book is designed to entertained and teach young ladies like myself to do the right thing when it comes to teenage love, and to stay focused in school. It is one of the most books checked out at the library by ladies. It is split up into two sections, and the first one is “ Hot Boyz”.Chance Kennedy is a very wealthy girl. Everything she wants she gets, including the boys. She had just recently broke up with her ex boyfriend, and she was looking for a good-looking boy to have fun with. That’s when she found Ahmad. He was a college boy; Chance however was in high school. She lied about her age to be with him, they even fell... more in love. At the end her parents found out, called the police and she was arrested. He was released, but very angry with her, he never spoke to her again.Out of the main character Chance and Ahmad, my favorite was Chance. I believe she had a self vs. self-problem. She had trouble finding herself, not knowing that boys aren’t everything in this world and that there is more to life than that, and that is what I want girls to take from this book, boys aren’t important right now.I can definitely relate to this book, we all can. There is a time in our lives where we want to be loved by someone besides our friends and family, and we do unnecessary things in order to be “beautiful”. Not knowing that there are better things in life. The second part of the book is called “ The boy trap”. Gabrielle Newton is popular, has potential, and is the captain of the cheerleading team. She has dreams of becoming the wife of an NBA player. Jay-Sean, a basketball player on the school team, broke up with her because he was moving (he was also cheating on her and calling her “easy” behind her back). A few months later a boy names Tyler came in the picture. Another basketball player from the basketball team. He was very wise and always told her she was beautiful because of her heart and brain. All she wanted was to have sex however, and he refused, he was a real gentlemen, he broke up with her because of this. This was also a self vs. self-conflict. Gabrielle did not notice the potential she had, so she creped around trying to become a basketball wife. Another problem us ladies have, sometime we thing we are not good enough to become something out of ourselves, and we make excuses to not become something special in life. In this part my favorite character was actually the male. Tyler was such a gentlemen, and an example of how every boy should be. I can’t say I can compare myself to him. He had the smarts the looks and a great personality. Would I recommend this book? Of course I would! I actually would like my friends to read. So together we can learn a little bit about self-confidence, learn that all boys are the same, and how to move on after a bad break up.Check your local library today ☺
review 2: Dear Friends,This book was a two in one book.The first book Hot Boyz was a wonderful book because she reminded me of me.What i mean by that is she helped me understand age its anything but a number.She dated a boys who was in college and she was only sixteen and he was 18. She thought that if she just lied and play around a little that she wouldnt feel anything but she caught deep deep feelings for him she actually loved him.She hates that she lied to him and wish she wouldve told him a lil early.So this book was really good.The second book was called The Boy Trap this was also a very good book.This book was about a girl who thought that nothing could effect her pretty little world not even her boyfriend breaking up with her a couple of months before there prom.Brezzy was a girl who slept around with her ex-boyfriend name Jay-Sean and another boy named Dre and thats why they call her Easy Breazy.She met a boy named Tyler who made her see her as a beautiful girl who loved herslef for herself he made her find her.So i also thought this book was really book I feel they should keep writing books like this less
