review 1: I used to love reading his books. However, now that they all seem to go straight to the movie screen, they all read like screen plays to me. This one screamed screen play. Don't get me wrong. I loved Luke the bull riding cowboy and the fact that he was not the one to die in this book. I just miss the days when Sparks ' books read like the romance novels they were supposed to be and not a movie script.
review 2: I found myself enjoying the Sophia and Luke story far more than Ira and Ruth's story. Although it was a very sweet story, I was not a fan of how Ira and Ruth's story was told (and it's hard for me to explain in writing why I wasn't a huge fan of it).
