Stuff I've Been Reading

review 1: This is his best book title yet (and he's got some good ones). This is the last collection of his columns for 'The Believer' and it's pretty good. It's the most recent, so it actually includes more books (and movies and TV shows) that I remember. While I love his reviews, his taste in fiction is more literary than mine, so I didn't really add to my book list from this. But it's great to check out for ideas - Hornby is smart, funny and this is worth checking out if you like to read.
review 2: A Valentine's gift from my perfect gift-giving daughter. I meant to pace myself on More Baths Less Talking. I failed miserably, and finally ended by gobbling it right down. Will try to be better with this one; after all there are only four books, and when I finish thi... mores one I will be half way through.I'm reading these in reverse order, and it doesn't seem to matter at all. Hardly a page goes by that I don't laugh out loud, or at least smile broadly. I love it when he talks about books or authors I've read, but I enjoy hearing about ones I don't know and probably won't ever get around to as well as those that get added to impossibly long "to read" lists and probably won't get read either. less
