review 1: Super cute, super fun book to read! This was basically a remake of the original from cover to cover. It followed the story of Alice in wonderland only the author "Zombified" it! If you are a fan of the orig. you will defiantly think this is cute. If you are a fan of zombies, you will love it! It is nothing but zombilicious from beginning to the dreadful end. All the elements are there - instead of following a white rabbit, Alice follows a black rat. On top of the mushroom, instead of a caterpillar, was a black worm "supping on a freshly dismembered human ear". Alice gets bigger and smaller with everything she eats and drinks - "I can't remember things as I used - and I don't keep the same size for ten minutes together! And I'm so cold! And starving for warm flesh! I have c... morehanged, I know it!".The Cheshire Cat is there (black cat, of course)- "In that direction," said the cat, waving his right paw round, "lives a Hatter, and in that direction," waving the other paw. "lives a Dead Hare. Visit either you like' they're both zombies."The tea party, the croquet game, all there only with a spin. The croquet balls were zombie heards of course! What I really loved about this book was that it followed the story of Alice and still really had that feel to it. It was delightfully fun to read! Especially with Halloween around the corner.
review 2: I hadn't even been aware of this book's existence until I was searching up a title(I had recently purchased the book Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter)for a book that had the same one. What a surprise it was to find this book. A parody of Lewis Carroll's original Alice in Wonderland, this book was really a find. It still revolves around the same storyline as its original, with the only changes being to make certain characters or events more grotesque. Just the kind of story that I love. less
