review 1: This story was fantastic, I absolutely loved the characters and how the plot developed. Even if it was a little bit of a guess as to how things would turn out, I still wasn't exactly sure what Marlene would decide for her and Nil's future.I love how this story started with a single mom, working hard to get her and her daughter through life. And things with this story were things I could so identify with my life as well, which might be exactly why I love it so much (except there isn't a rock star ever in my life, unfortunately.) What it boils down to is that Luke was the love of Marlene's life and when she got pregnant he was there, until almost the end when he disappeared and started to be a rock star instead. I love how at the end of the book, Luke talks about this and hi... mores reasons and explanations and gives the reader insight to what I am sure happens with most guys as they come to such a life changing event. The nitty-gritty details that just make everything even more complicated, Marlene has a boyfriend that she tried to "move on" with a new boyfriend, Finn. Of course, he knows of her history with Luke and he is willing to just put up with being second best (in a sense.) Finn gets the chance of a lifetime and asked Marlene to move with him to Paris and start a life there with him. Marlene is torn, it was always her dream to move to Paris and experience the life there. I really loved that Marlene has these intimate moments with her Grandma who gives her little pieces of advice here and there, and her Grandma sure is a feisty lady. And the end of the book was stuff I really wasn't expecting but made it even better. I would recommend this book to anyone that needs a little bit of a heart felt, warming story with just a little complication thrown in.
review 2: 5 Blushing Divas Stars!I loved this story! This is my first read by Nicole Simone and I look forward to many more in the future. This is not, I repeat, is not your typical rock star groupie book! Yes it has that as part of the element of the book, but the story does not center around that facet of life. That is why I loved it! Love of A Rockstar is its own story, a story worth reading about! This story has grit, love, heartache, and redemption. I love that the characters are strong and independent.
