Aurora Sky: Vampire Hunter
review 1: Dare I say that Aurora Sky's life sucks? Seriously, all the poor girl wants is to finish high school and go to Notre Dame. Instead, she's stuck in Alaska (due to her vampiric situation) parenting her mother, while backstabbers come at her from every direction. It's a hard game to play because every outcome seems to guarantee a loss for Aurora, yet she soldiers on. That's what I like best about her. Despite all the let downs...and the horrible actions of just about all the people/vampires around her, she remains strong and true to herself. Soon she is off to boot camp and determined to come back to kick some ass and I plan to be there to catch every butt whomping moment. I'm not sure which is worse for her -- the way people betray her or the life threatening situatio... morens in which she finds herself. Either way, she is in a pickle. But as she is being sent off to boot camp, she is determined to come back to kick some vampire ass. I plan to be there to catch every butt whomping moment.
review 2: I really liked this installment of the Aurora Sky series. It didn't have much Fane in it, but he came across as a jerk anyway. I enjoyed all the action in the story and I can't wait for another book. The ending didn't tie everything up in a neat bow which was refreshing and left me wanting more in a good way. The introduction of Jared was a twist I didn't see coming and Dante is becoming a love interest that Fane better watch out for. I enjoyed Northern Bites better than the first book, I think it earned 5 stars. less
