review 1: It wasn't until recently that I became a fan of Vampire stories. I am already a fan of Nina Mason's writing. (The Tin Man is my new favorite. I've read it twice in a row). Even though this story is totally different from "The Tin Man", I loved it. The centuries of connection between Cat and Graham was well-written and believable. A timeless soul connection between two beings. The thought of being connected and waiting for centuries to be with each other ... forever ... was tragically romantic. Beautiful undead love story with great connections to life, death, and fate. I recommend it to anyone who loves a good paranormal love story!
review 2: Just have to say that I see a lot of promise from this author!!! I loved the concept and the story. It was edgy historic
... moreal (well sort of)-paranormal romance.Having said that, I must say that the book fell short in some areas. The romantic relationship between the H/h felt superficial. I was told how they felt rather than shown so I never felt a deep connection between the two. I also felt as that parts of the story should have been explored in more detail.Overall: I loved where I thought the book was going but just felt that it never quite got there. The characters lacked enough emotion to make me feel a connection and the story fell short and lacked depth.I will definitely follow this author and see how she develops. I see a lot of potential! less

This scares me that there's no negative reviews. It can't be THAT good. But I'll give it a try.
