review 1: This book was adorable! It was enjoyable from beginning to end! I definitely recommend for kids that love mystery and action. Randi is young girl who is dealing with the loss of her mother and moving to a small town, that she thinks she'll hate. But after making two friends and solving a mystery she realizes that life in that small town might not be so boring after all. It's a sweet book for kids. There's no cussing. The only violence is Randi and her friends take down bad guys using Tae Kwon Do.
review 2: I thought from the cover and summary that this book was going to be adventurous and mysterious. And I suppose it was, especially the last third. But it is really about a girl trying to adjust to moving to a small town and trying to get along with her dad afte... morer her mom died. I know the first in a series can be slow getting started as the background and characters are established so maybe the next book will be more adventurous. less
