review 1: Ok, this is definitely a YA book, and I am not a YA (sadly) but it is so much fun that an older reader can also enjoy it. Yup, it's a fantasy - an adult would be thinking further ahead - but, ahem, it isn't meant for older folks is it. And, bearing in mind that works of art by the most unlikely painters have been drooled over - just maybe, in your wildest dreams, this could happen. Whatever. It's a fantasy, but a great one. I was completely caught up in it.

SPOILER FREE REVIEWCover/Title: 5 out of 5The cover was very pretty. The title made me interested right away. I al... moreso loved the illustrations inside the book. They looked very realistic.Characters: 5 out of 5Emma was such a relatable character. I really can understand what she's going through. I can't design clothes, but I know what it's like to struggle between what you love to do and school. Holly seemed like a better friend towards the end. Charlie was a great supportive male lead. I also really like Majorie.Plot: 4 out of 5I really liked the plot. I used to watch this show called Jane by Design (before it got cancelled), and it reminded me a lot of that. I loved how Emma was able to focus on her future fashion career and she was able to work hard. A girl trying to make it big in the world, sort of a cliche, but this ended up being a really enjoyable story.Suspense: 3 out of 5This book kept a pace that was normal for a contemporary novel. It wasn't book that you were on the edge of your seat for, but it was an enjoyable, fun novel.Overall: 3.5 out of 5I gave it a four on goodreads because it is a high three. I liked this book more than I thought I would. I would recommend this book to anyone who liked Jane by Design, who likes fashion, or likes a light, enjoyable, quick read. The characters were fun and I loved the illustrations. Great Job!!! less
