review 1: 3.5 StarsAnders and Ivy (Josie) are two people who are really no good for each other on paper but when they are together it is explosive, in many different ways. They fight more than they don’t and at some points even I was mad at one or the other for being stupid. This book started off catching my attention but then slowed down for a while. It picked back up and kept going until the end. Josie is a costume supervisor on the same movie that Anders is the lead role. They butt head right away and the smart ass remarks and cocky attitude do ever stop form there.Anders doesn’t do repeats…unless he doesn’t remember doing them the first time. What he thought would be an easy lay becomes the hardest thing he has had to do. He comes face to face with his own insecurities al... morel while trying to catch and keep Ivy for himself.Insert a crazy costar, some amazing friends and some paparazzi and it gives you a fun ride.
review 2: There were a lot of things about this book that I really liked, however I just didn't love the story overall. My favorite part of this book was that it wasn't rushed and by pacing it realistically, it allowed for the plot to be more organic. The book begins with Josie, a girl working in the costume the department on the set of a movie has had to deal with the high maintenance, famous celebrity, lead actor, Anders. She's done well at avoiding his infamous ire and just him in general. However, it infuriates her to realize that such an obnoxious person creates such lust in her. So at the wrap party, she seduces him (not that it's difficult), knowing he's got a reputation for one-night stands. The sex ends up being great, and Anders proves himself an asshole as he basically runs out the door when it's over. But Josie is generally okay with that because now she feels that she can move on. Months later, Josie is working on a new movie when they have to bring in a new lead actor, which of course ends up being Anders. However, Anders doesn't remember Josie until he sees her with her shirt off, after she spilt something on it. Josie feels used and hurt, but things get complicated as Anders still pursues her. At first, he is all about just bedding her. Then he moves on to just wanting her one more time. But Josie messes with his plans as she rejects being his doormat. They play out a cat and mouse game filled with mixed feelings and confusion and outside complications. One thing remains the same though, they are undeniably drawn to one another.Josie and Anders are both hot-heads. They provide a lot of great dialogue, but they are often their own worst enemies. These butting personalities would make for a completely unrealistic story if Olivia Evans would've made this book any shorter. This book really seemed like one of those stories that the author just put to paper from her head, for others to read. As opposed to having a spark of creativity and then trying to write about it, it really felt as though these characters were real and just happened to live in her head. less
