review 1: Your eyes meet across the room and in a instant the attraction is so sizzling you immediately know there is no way going to bed alone is going to happen. But the explosive night that follows can get you into more trouble then just getting pregnant. What on earth you may ask could be more serious and life altering that? The fact that the father of your baby has figured out who you really are, and is torn between upholding his duty to his country and the commitment to his unborn child. From that alone you can tell this is one totally, amazing read and from page one right through till the end I was captivated, entranced and completely in love with the characters. The read tells of Sheikh Shaheen Aal Shalaan, he sees Johara across the room and instant attraction flares, but when ... moremorning comes and he discovers she is no one other than his childhood friend he is understandably in shock and furious! But the real shocker comes when he leans of her expecting his child and the very real reality that he might need to let her and the baby go in order to appease his tradition. The character of Shaheen was remarkably well written, I fell head over heals in love with him but he also made me cry. I felt so sorry for him having to face his duties and try to fight the battle of falling for the wrong woman. It reminded me that life is never easy but for others life is so much harder because of the responsibilities they have. Jorhara was a character that totally blew my mind. She knows what she wants and she goes after it but afterwards as with many of us it comes down to “ this was a great plan but now the results are not quite what they were meant to be and now? What do I do now?”. This link to reality was superb and I adore the author for showing that sometimes no all our plans are meant to be carried out.I recommend this read for all fans of Olivia Gates books, she writes strong and emotionally packed reads with to die for characters and gorgeous settings! “ He needs to chose between his duty and love”
review 2: Incredible. Passionate. Poignant. A love story so powerful and sweet and erotic it had my heart pounding with the strength of the hero and heroine's emotions from the first line to the last. And a very, very refreshing alpha male who is truly one, and who never wavers in his love and trust of his beloved. To Tame a Sheikh is a truly magnificent entry into the Pride of Zohayd trilogy and another testament to a master in her craft. Olivia Gates never ceases to amaze me and always delivers more than I expect. less
