review 1: This book I can compare to the Imdalind Series. It's just THAT good. Again, I read this before May, so I don't have a review written up, but this book is AMAZING. I am still going crazy for book 2 (which was already supposed to be out -Author's Website said so-, but it isn't and no one is telling me ANYTHING!!). So let's just say I'm slowly and painfully dying inside.I remember being in love with Drake and Allai was/is my revile. The story was so different from what is normally put out there in the publishing world that I just loved that. I'll just say it involves a lot of action, a mage girl and a demon out to help her. That right there should be enough for you to go buy the book and fall in love with Drake C:Your welcome C:
review 2: I LOVE when free books su... morerprise me!I thought this was a great story! The story itself gets a five outta five star rating... The writing gets about 3.5. With that being said I would like to emphasize Olivia Rivers is a GREAT storyteller! So I really liked Allai! She wasn't this super tough bad-ass Buffy character but dang she wanted to be! She was really sweet without being Mary Sunshine making you puke. She had ALL of these life changing events happen to her in rapid secession, and as much as I LOVE, and I mean LOVE the strong take no prisoners Buffy heroines, something about Allai felt real. She wasn't boring & annoying like Twilight's Bella standing around obsessing over a guy, but she was very shell shocked. I dont want to give anything away so I'll leave it at that.Drake.... Wow I really like him! HOT!!! Dang is he HOT! He is your typical sarcastic bad boy with a hidden chocolate center for his one and only, Allai. As their story develops & you read the flashbacks of when they met & why he is protecting her, man I totally fell in love with Drake! I LOVED Luke! This book needed a lot more of him! He was great! The epilogue left me speechless!!!! And dying to know when the next book is coming out! Just wow! I've got a TON of questions that I can't wait to get the answers to! It's been about 24 hours since I finished & I'm still thinking about the characters & what's next for them in their adventures! less
