review 1: The summary on GR is good enough to explain. I think the story is beautiful; a combination of angst, seeing your friend in different way, and letting go. I love how Darren finally sees that good-old dependable Max as something more. I'm a bit worried of Darren's feeling for Marlon, because it's sad to know if his feeling will always shadowing what he has with Max. But then again, maybe it can strengthen their love in the end.PS: I'm so in love with Max's family members! The kids reaction to Max and Darren's kissing is so funny!
review 2: Patric Michael's The Santa Mug is a beautifully tender and heartwarming romance. I don't know how Patric does it, but his characters ALWAYS come to such vivid life and I am always very emotionally involved in their stories. He
... more evokes such strong emotional reaactions in his stories and I'm left, at the end, feeling elated and renewed. If you've not read The Santa Mug, or anything by Patric Michael, RUN, don't walk ~ figuratively speaking of course ~ to your nearest online bookstore. You won't be sorry. Patric Michael is definitely one of the authors at the top of my favourites and auto-buy list. less

This was a wonderful touching story. It brought tears, but right along with them came happiness too.

The story is interesting, but... in my eyes the feelings from Darren are just not real for me.
