review 1: The madame of a high priced bordello is looking for something missing in her life. While at a speed dating night at a local bar, she meets a man that finally piques her interest and while that intrigues her it also scares her. His first sentence of the night has her wondering about him and not just for the night. She has thought about him all week and as luck would have it, they meet again. She gets caught up in the things he makes her feel while trying to fight to keep up her walls and keep a fragment of anonimity. One night he finally tells her what he does for a living and she immediately knows their relationship can go no further. They could ruin each other. Will they let that stop them or will they throw caution to the wind and give in to their des... moreires?
review 2: I liked the idea of this book, but it ended so abruptly I only gave it three stars. I'm not sure if there is a second book but some things about this book bothered me. Like why he was even at the Burlesque show if he was that against the whole prostitution thing. He didn't mind picking up women he didn't know from a bar but it's not okay to pay for sex? So ironic, and then when he saw her again he just asks for a date..... Ugh. Ok. Thanks netgalley for a free read in exchange for an honest review. less

Be warned - Pavarti writes real characters but that doesn't stop her from writing it HOT!

3.5 stars. I will probably read the next novella about Portia, due out in March.
