review 1: The end was very satisfying. Basically they are all together in a Mogadorian Base in New Mexico fighting Setrákus Ra, except for Five...and Sam. The author would keep tricking you into thinking a Garde/Person from Lorien died. So many surprising things happened. John's newly discovered Legacy to heal people, and Ella somehow stopped Setrákus Ra from taking their Legacies. But now they face the problem that he can shape-shift. Which is how he put a sword through Eight as Six, just like in the cave painting. But there are so many times that they came close to death in their fight, without luck, many of them would be dead.
review 2: I think that The Rise of Nine was pretty good, but it was a transition book in the series. Nothing too big happened in this book, b... moreut many new characters were introduced as well as new ideas. I think this was an important book in this series, not only were new characters introduced but I also began to understand the characters better. Overall The Rise of Nine was a good book, but nothing too crazy happened until the very end. less
