review 1: The Revenge of Seven by Pittacus Lore-- or whatever the author's real name is-- was a book that I thoroughly enjoyed. However, I was also a bit disappointed. It was still a great book, of course, but there are a few points that I have some criticism for.My main problem was with the perspectives. I loved hearing from Six, whose headstrong and confident personality makes her one of my favorite characters, but I would have preferred to hear from Marina instead. After all, the book is title the Revenge of Seven-- if the story is centered around her, why not give her a perspective? Marina has developed into an incredible character; from a shy, uncertain girl who was abandoned by her Cepan to a determined, passionate one who has control over some amazing Legacies after losing so... more much was wonderful character development that was beautifully told. So, it was awkward to hear about the scene when Eight briefly comes back as the spirit of Lorien from Six's point of view. But nevertheless, it was still heart-breaking, tear-jerking scene. It was very nice to hear from Four again. He was a good character, too, and his Legacies were some of my favorite. And I don't have any criticism for Ella's perspective; I've been looking forward to hearing from her point of view since she was first introduced, and I was surprised when it was revealed that she was Setrakus Ra's granddaughter. I liked how this was put so early in the book; at first I thought that there should have been more to build up to the final twist, but still, the development of Ella's story kept me interested throughout the beginning of the book.Another problem I had was the language. This wasn't that big of an issue, but eventually I found that all the swearing became a bit unnecessary. I understand that this is a part of the characters' personalities, but when there's a swear on every page it comes to be a bit much. This is just my personal opinion, I understand that this doesn't bother some people. And now, I want to talk about that cliffhanger, when Sam suddenly killed a Piken with a sort of telekinetic blast. (Bear with me while I diverge from reviewing the book to state my own theory). Since it is totally impossible (at least, it is highly improbable) for Same to be a Garde, what might have happened is that one of the other Garde had a legacy that allowed telekinesis to be transferred from a Garde to any person. Whoever had this legacy wouldn't know it, so they transferred their powers to Sam by accident. Man, I really hate cliffhangers. Now I have to wait another year to find out what really happened, or if I was right or not.So, in conclusion, this was a great book. It definitely wasn't as strong as some of the others in the series, but I was satisfied by how it turned out in the end. Good job, Pittacus Lore (or whatever your real name is).
review 2: Won't use amazing because of un-necessarily stretched squeals but yes it was niceSpecially the Ending leaves you at cliffhanger. How good could be the concept of Humans having loric legacies. All Starting with "Sam" You got six Man (y)..Five with twisted attitude. One thing good/worst about the book. Four being Fucked up idiot every action he takes results into a disaster.Hope next one goes Awesome. less
