Well I finally was able to go back home after 5 years. Not only that, but I was able to bring Ben with me. He’s never been across the ocean or to Germany. It was great seeing the family again and for Ben to experience the mother land.
First day we were there Ben was in awe of all the green land and trees. He absolutely loved it. While we were trying to stay up (jet lag and all), my mother’s family friends were trying to get Ben drunk by giving him all the beer/liquor they had! Of course he enjoyed all of the drinks.
We had a whirlwind of 1st Communion with my Goddaughter, visiting a new city in Germany everyday, went to Luxembourg, and just walked, walked, and walked!
Most importantly, I got to see my family and home again and Ben got to experience Europe. Hopefully we can go back soon.
