review 1: The premise of this novel is ok--sorcerers and sorceresses of King Arthur's time come to find their heirs in teenagers of our time. Merlin enrolls as an older handsome charismatic teen in a modern high school and finds the teen girl protagonist, who falls hard for him and pays LOTS of consequences. The problem with the novel--half baked plot with lots of action, but not much substance. It just isn't a satisfying read.
review 2: OH, the teenage angst. In this one, the story starts after the break-up, so that's different. Anyway. The story felt choppy and untethered--I just didn't understand what the main character's true motivations were. She didn't either--the two ancient wizards that she had the hots for had to point it out to her. ERK. THE LOVE TRIANGLE. It... more was not built up very well and didn't feel genuine at all. Basically, this story was all over the place. less
