review 1: I was so looking forward to this book because I really enjoyed the first in the series. This book was a little bit of a disappointment. The plot was all over the place when introducing the Greek mythology (Rick Riordan's series already does that and does it much better). There were also more grammatical errors in the second book. Ryan's character seemed to get lost and she wasn't nearly as fearless and bad ass as in the first book. I also don't understand her attachment to Vane. Merlin all the way.
review 2: Very exciting read. After having read the first book, I was dying to read more about the characters. I really liked that it mixed greek mythology with the arthurian legends, in a modern age. The characters were well written and believable. Plus the book had... more some nice turns. I did feel bad for Vane sometimes, and at the end for Ryan. That was one of those nice turns as well...I can't wait to read the third book! less
