review 1: Camille meets Gavin on a trip to Paris and 2 years later their paths cross again.Camille has a nasty piece of work for a boyfriend, but she has left him and he isn't taking no for an answer. Turns out, Andrew is NOT who or what she thinks, and neither is Gavin.Enter Amaranth, a place where vampires can go, and be free of blood lust. But there is a price. this did take a while to get going. I nearly put it down several times, but didn't. I cant say exactly why I wanted to put it down, I really cant. the plot was okay, with a few twists and turns. the writing was good with hardly any editing errors. it just didn't do it for me.I've rated it a YA, there is some kissing and some fighting. The story does not finish in this one book, it is a trilogy, and you will need the other ... moretwo books for it to conclude. I've added them to my wish list, but don't think i'll pay for them.
review 2: This was an excellent book. From the moment that I picked it up, I could not put it down and proceeded to finish it in one sitting. The characters are fantastic, you cannot help but fall in love with them and want to see them succeed. The story was interesting and kept me entertained from the very beginning till the very last word. The story moved along at a great pace.Rachael Wade is a fabulous author and I look forward to reading more of her work in the near future. less
