review 1: What a lovely story! Highlighting eight Christmas Eves in the lives of Cyrus and Helen, it starts when Helen comes under the guardianship of Cyrus's father as a 10 year old when Cyrus is an older teenager, and details their friendship as they mature, and eventually once adults find that their feelings have matured as well. As the years go by, we see glimpses of their lives both separately and together and the strong depth of feeling between them. Once adults, there is a definite sexual attraction that is well written and it's only a matter of time for them to act upon it. I also enjoyed seeing how their individual relationships changed with Cyrus's father over the course of the story. It was a delightful Christmas tale. 5 stars!
