review 1: To be honest, I just hate this book and any math textbooks ever(I HATE MATH). I just don't really think that the strategies she used were accurate because I had some questions on my mind. Such as how she believes if she matches them up with one thing they have in common and expect them to build. The only reason I gave the book one star is because I adore how Emily tortures her. I can relate to Emily. And I don't think pushing adults out of her way is good. You might not have remembered the part, but unfortunately it really was in there. " The first thing to do is to ignore every piece of advice your parents and teachers have given you. Look at them. They're old. They can't remember what it was like to be young. They believe in things like "being true to yourself" and "bein... moreg accepted for who you are." That stuff gets you beaten up."The friendship matchmaker, page 1-2 I also think its crazy in general, the idea of the friendship matchmaker. Instead of reading this book, as quoted from Dork Diaries 3, page 217, "I'd rather get a big bowl of popcorn and watch the kitchen faucet drip." Uh huh. That boring. And dull. And untrue. Whenever the friendship matchmaker comes to my eyesight. I think "liar, liar."
review 2: I thought this book was a great book about friendship, but it kind of got confusing with all the words from the friendship matchmaker manual in the book. This book is about a Friendship Matchmaker a.k.a-Lara who helps kids find best friends. But the people that she is helping,is not being theirselves.Lara has rules for them to follow to get friend and she's telling them not to be them selves. Anyways there's this new girl that is coming to school a.k.a-Emily, and Lara is trying to help her fit in but Emily doesn't need any help.So Lara and Emily have a face off to find a kid that doesn't have any friends and try to make them have a best friend in a month with thier own rules. Will Lara win and find a kid a best friend, or will Lara lose.U will have to read the book to find out!! less
