review 1: I read F451 back in sixth grade for ELA class, and I remember being bored and feeling that the apocalyptic perception of the end of whatever-unnamed-country-this-takes-place-in was overwrought to the point of being histrionic. I was also bored. I think that my judgment in 2000 was probably too harsh, but I’m not that far from my original opinion… I prefer Bradbury’s more fantastical short stories than his doomsaying.
