When the idea of a group of determined friends to save their hang-out place and bar, bringing back customers in the sexiest and fun way, sign me in!
Down on Me is the first installment in the Man of The Month series… Get a clue? The concept was kinda catchy and I won’t reveal all the ins and outs involved but it was definitely interesting!
What about starting with friends to smoking hot lovers’ story? Meet Reece, the certified bachelor who seemed to be in love forever with his best friend but never admitting the truth, until one moment, one kiss rocked his world, and the firecracker Jenna didn’t seem to be immune to his charms.
I liked the author’s descriptive writing, from the characters’ thoughts, and definitely giving a very visual way when it comes to the sexy/naughty bits. It was a fast paced story, which might have started like a slow burn story but getting faster in the minute. When the hero was finally decided to win that woman and made her his, well, things were getting explosive.
As best friends for their whole life, the risk to take a chance on love could ruin everything they had built, to break the connexion they had. It’s been a long time since I’ve read a J. Kenner’s book and I knew that she would bring the hotness to the yard! I enjoyed that the characters weren’t beating around the bush, being honest about their fears or insecurities about being in a relationship, their conception of a couple. Fighting fiercely, as both being hot-tempered.
Sexy and fun, Down On Me was a good installment. A promising series, hot and fun but some parts were a bit rushed to me. If you are in the mood for friends to lovers romance, you should take a chance on that book.
One down, eleven to go! Can’t wait to read about the next man of the month!
