Drumroll please! The last day of 12 Days of Blogmas is upon us and so is Christmas Eve! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day no matter what holiday you celebrate and I hope you enjoy my post. Love you all, my wonderful readers.

I recently read Turtles All the Way Down by John Green and HOLY CRAP IT IS BEAUTIFUL. I had to pause so many times to highlight a quote I loved. Fast forward to when I was coming up with an idea for this post and thought “hey, I want to do book quotes. You know what book had amazing quotes? TURTLES ALL THE WAY DOWN!” There are so many wonderful quotes, and because I don’t plan on writing a review for the book itself, I thought I would share them here. I’m in no place to judge whether a book portrays mental illness well, so I didn’t think it was fair for me to review it. What I will say however is the story is wonderful and everyone should read it. Go, go, go, go (then come back and read my post).

Here are twelve of my favorite quotes from Turtles All the Way Down (strangely enough none of which are about turtles).

“Anybody can look at you. It’s quite rare to find someone who sees the same world you see.” (p. 9). MAKES MY HEART SWELL

‘“Does it hurt?” he asked. For some reason, I wanted to tell him the truth. “Whether it hurts is kind of irrelevant.”’ (p. 40).

“I don’t mind worriers,” I said. “Worrying is the correct worldview. Life is worrisome.” (p. 52). AMEN TO THAT

“There’s no need to suffer.” Which I’d argue is just a fundamental misunderstanding of the human predicament, but okay.” (p. 70). lol

“I is the hardest word to define.” (p. 79) The most perfect sentence ever written

“Him: And the thing is, when you lose someone, you realize you’ll eventually lose everyone.” (p. 81). so sad and something I have thought so many times

“Our hearts were broken in the same places. That’s something like love, but maybe not quite the thing itself.” (p. 206). BEAUTIFUL. MAKES MY HEART HURT.
