Go big or stay at home they say! This compote gives plenty of room to add various spices and for the holidays I did. This is from Marisa McClellan’s Blog Food in Jars and is a Small Batch Apple Cranberry Compote.
I added allspice, fresh ground nutmeg, and cloves. Instead of water I used apple cider. I also used a mixture of three different apples just to add to the flavor texture. It smells amazing and I am one step closer to completing my journey with berries! Tomorrow cranberry chutney!
