Ashes of 2017, for Beauty in 2018

Hey Beautiful ladies…

This is my first blog for 2018 and last night when I was with my beautiful Bible group girls, one of the questions prompted me to think of my year last year.

What came to my mind was “Beauty for Ashes”.

But before we can have something beautiful, everything must be made into ash first, and throughout the Bible we see many times how God uses fire to burn up things… the wicked people in the wicked city of Sodom & Gomorrah in particular was one.
WHAT HAPPENED BEHIND YOU, CANNOT GO WITH YOU
I can’t remember which sermon it was that Pastor Steven preached about the Exodus and the people who were in the wilderness could not go into the promise land.
If 2017 was the wilderness, 2018 is our promise land and the things that happened and the people that were with you and beside you… that may not be here with you now… God says that they can’t go with you where I am taking you!

At this, one of the younger women who is single by the way – significant that her desire is for a husband and her 2017 was about ‘relationships’ – beautifully added something that brought revelation…

“That the enemy wants you to take those things into your future, because as long as he can keep you held back in your past, he can keep you from receiving what God has for you in your future”.

Wow!!!
What a revelation that is FILLED with truth and wisdom!

But yes, we will stay stuck in our past if we keep holding on to everything that’s happened to us while they are dead and it’s THOSE THINGS, that could very well keep us from the purpose and plans God has for us.

GOD BURNS IT UP
But God has a contingency plan in place and it’s called Holy Fire
