Bully (Fall Away #1) by Penelope Douglas

4 out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Description:

My name is Tate. He doesn’t call me that, though. He would never refer to me so informally, if he referred to me at all. No, he’ll barely even speak to me.

But he still won’t leave me alone.
We were best friends once. Then he turned on me and made it his mission to ruin my life. I’ve been humiliated, shut out, and gossiped about all through high school. His pranks and rumors got more sadistic as time wore on, and I made myself sick trying to stay out of his way. I even went to France for a year, just to avoid him.

But I’m done hiding from him now, and there’s no way in hell I’ll allow him to ruin my senior year. He might not have changed, but I have. It’s time to fight back.

I’m not going to let him bully me anymore.

My Views:

I don’t know what took me so long to read this! It was sitting on my TRB forever!!!

I loved the story and the characters. It was a friends to enemies to lovers story ( that’s a mouthful) Tate and Jared used to be friends until the summer they were 14. He went to spend the summer with this dad and came back different. He hated Tate and ruined her life. He went out of his way to make life difficult for her. After a year in France, Tate comes back but she isn’t letting him ruin her anymore. She starts fighting back.

“You’ve already made me cry countless times.” I raised my middle finger to him slowly, and asked, “Do you know what this is?” I took my middle finger and patted the corner of my eye with it. “It’s me, wiping away the last tear you’ll ever get.”

Tate and Jared were amazing together! You could feel their chemistry throughout the entire book. I kept screamin’ “just get together already” at my kindle almost the entire time.

“I want to touch you.” His words were against my lips now. “I want to feel what’s mine. What’s always been mine.”

I loved how Tate fought back, how she kept pushing him to let her in, let her know what happened that made him hate her so much all those years ago. Jared had a hard life and it made it into the tough guy that he is today. My heart melted for him once he laid his past out to Tate.

This book was good and I couldn’t make myself put it down.
