Course:Snack
Serving:12 big cookies
Preparation time:10 minutes
Cooking time:15 minutes
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- ½ cup white sugar
- ½ cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup Cocoa Powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 100g Dark Chocolate M&M’s
Method
Set the oven to 180 degrees
Slightly brush the baking tray with oil and set aside. Don’t use alot of oil because the cookie dough has enough oil.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine the butter and both sugars. Beat together until light and fluffy, 2-3 minutes. Blend in the egg and vanilla and milk scrape down the bowl if needed.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients in the mixer on low speed just until incorporated. It might get abit dusty so be brace yourself.
Add the M&M’s but leave a handful aside, mix with your hand until well incorporated. Be careful not to smash them.
Use an icecream scoop or a tablespoon(heap the tablespoon) to scoop even sections of the dough and just press them lightly until flat and big then place them on the tray. Press some M&M’s on top of the cookies for added pop of color.
Bake 12-15 minutes. Immediately top with more M&M’s if needed. Let cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
