DJI Announce Oslo Mobile 2 and Ronin -S

 

Today at CES DJI have announced two new handheld gimbal stabilisers, the OSMO Mobile 2 and the Ronin-S.

The OSMO Mobile 2 

This upgraded version of the original OSMO Mobile features new integrated battery for unto 15 hours of usage that make sit last over 3 time longer than the original model, It has a new button layout to make it easier to use and includes a new portrait mode.

The new Osmo Mobile 2 lighter than the original model too coming in at 458g saving just under 50g, DJI have also included a whole load of App features like Panorama, Time laps, Hyper Laps Cinematic Zoom and Time In Motion.

 

DJI have also stated that this new model will come in cheaper than the original and will be available from $129.

The DJI Ronin – S

Designed for DSLR and mirrorless cameras the Ronin-S combines advanced stabilisation and , precision control along side manual focus control capabilities in a compact, single-handed form factor.

Smooth Track 

With only one hand SmoothTrack technology allows you to transition smoothly from motion to camera angle effortlessly. Two customisable parameter groups enable you to store your favourite SmoothTrack settings, switching between them in a single click.

The Ronin-S’s new Sport mode now intelligently increases SmoothTrack responsiveness to keep up with any movement.

The Ronin-S can be easily mount to an RC buggy for low angle shots or even act as a stabilised remote head when mounted to a jib. The dedicated DJI Focus Command Unit can be mounted to the accessory dock enabling creators to pull focus when operating with the standard handle.

You can also attach the Ronin-S to a dual-handheld bar without compromising control of the gimbal, focus or the camera shutter.

We understand that sometimes you need more than just a gimbal for your project, multiple accessory mounts are allocated on the Ronin-S providing full support for add-ons such as a microphone, LED lights, and even a wireless video transmitter.

Compatibility with DJI control devices such as Master Force provides intuitive controls, the Master Wheels are also able to provide remote operators precise gimbal movements.
