Don’t even think of taking DRDO-CEPTAM for the post of Admin/Store Assistant(English Typing). The Grade Pay is abysmally low(1900), a mere pittance, and even as it’s not as hugely contestable an exam as SSC-CHSL/CGL, the entire process is painstakingly slow, almost inducing you to sleep, channelizing every paranoid/anxious/despairing sentiment from the deepest recesses of your constitution. I took CEPTAM 8 in 2016 for I’d virtually run out of options at the time. I was fucking despondent, as entangled in the throes of melancholia as someone taking the final plunge from a precipice is nauseatingly familiar with. Long story short, my life was weary and I found the process of sending across resumes to private companies too tiresome because, let’s face it, you cannot bank on unenviable academic credentials(or otherwise) and the lack of any prior work-experience enough to stumble on a regular source of income. In other words, I figured out that applying for various government jobs was more of a respite for me than simply running from pillar to post. Perhaps that makes some sense as to why I wrote CEPTAM.
I’m sharing my scorecard and cutoff at each stage for the future aspirant(s), should anyone choose to take this exam, even as I’d singularly recommend against it.

In hindsight, I could have performed significantly better in the English sections(Section II and III) of the exam for the post of Admin Assistant, had there been no errors in the question paper. Some corrections were announced later in the examination hall, and by that time I’d already attempted those erroneous questions by making the most suitable educated guesses and even marking the same on my OMR sheet. Also, I missed out on several GK questions in Section I, which in turn led to lessening of my score. In any case, there are no laments to be haboured, more so at this stage.
There was no need to chronicle the above experience for my own sake. I’m simply putting it here for the sake of posterity.
