Frostbitten

you, the star in the night

that makes people’s smiles flow

like an endless river

the luminous glow in your face

something twinkles in your eyes

which spark like an arc lightning

someday, you will bloom into a tree

the pine tree searching for warmth

the grass that sways along the tempest

that collides with the frosty toes

overmorrow, you track the footprints

and see hundreds as if there’s a parade

a keeper in heart- you’ll always be

that’s why other stars shed their lights

just to give to your gracious presence

the sky weeps in the sound of your name

the hail pelts on the side of your cheek

a day will never be the same

it’s like passing of the wintry wind

after you glide in the tundric forests

where reindeers chortle

where snow touches your lips

in the dead of the winter

cold

frostbitten.
