June Wrap-Up!

I managed to read 8 books this month. I have been somewhat in a reading slump lately so I was very happy with this number. Hopefully July will continue to be a great reading month.

The books I read this month were:

The Cabin by Natasha Preston ★★★☆☆

The Thousandth Floor by Katherine McGee ★★★☆☆

This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab ★★★★☆

Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi ★★★★☆

The Tent by Margaret Atwood ★★★★☆

The Fever by Megan Abbott ★★★☆☆

Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger ★★★★☆

Love by Toni Morrison ★★★★☆

My favorite book this month was Love by Toni Morrison. Surprisingly, it was my first Toni Morrison novel ever. While I know it is shorter and not as dark as her first works, I thought it was a very touching portray of how corrupted and cruel love can be. It is a story woven with the intricacies of family, racial tension, and abuse that comes together with heartbreaking intensity. I am definitely planning to pick up more Morrison’s work.

Currently, I am reading The Little Friend by Donna Tartt.

What books did you read last month?
