Let’s Talk Childhood

Hey Friends!

In today’s post, I will talk about my favorite books growing up. These books always either cheered me up or calmed me down. Each of these books holds great memories for me. Lets reminisce shall we?

  • The Mitten by Jan Brett
    • In this short story, a bunch of woodland creatures sleep in a mitten left behind by a little boy named Nick. Nick has no recollection of the events that occur until a bear comes into the picture. For me, this book was always one of my favorites to go through when I was sick. My stepfather had given it to me alongside a box of Gobstoppers when I got sick in the First Grade
  • Ten Apples Up On Top by Dr. Seuss
    • MY FAVORITE DR. SEUSS BOOK EVER!! This book just brings me so much joy. Its about 3 different animals balancing objects on their head. I love this book and remember reading it when I was bored or in a good mood because it was about a bunch of animals coming together and having a great time.
  • The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
    • Everyone read this following book in elementary school at least once. This book involves a caterpillar, who like the title, is very hungry. He eats all sorts of food before finally being full. Upon being full, the caterpillar decides it’s time to transform into a beautiful butterfly.
  • If You Give A Mouse A Cookie by
    • Reading this book was like a reward. Lowkey this book made me want to find a little mouse and be pals. In this book, literally, a young boy gives a mouse a cookie, milk, and plays with it. I love this book’s illustrations and how easy it is to follow.
