Nero is the king of Legacy Prep, living a life of power.
Elle is the school’s punching bag, living a life of fear.
The only good girls Nero knows jump in his bed when he tells them to.
The closest Elle has come to a bad boy like him is in the cafeteria line.
The mob boss gave him orders to find out what she knows.
Her mouth is sealed.
I just want to be a fu**ing made man.
I’m just a fu**ing waitress.
My Views:
Omg, this book! I couldn’t put this down, I could not get enough of this book.
I was sucked into this from the first chapter.
We meet Elle in her senior year of high school trying to make it through. She works full time in a diner after school to pay for what her her scholarship doesn’t cover. She also takes a ton of shit and bullying to protect her best friend Chloe. One night after work she sees some mafia business that she shouldn’t see, turns out Nero is part of the family and has been sent to see what she knows. And this where our story starts.
Man, I loved Elle! She was funny, brave, and so easy to like. My heart went out to this girl. She had so much on her plate but never complained or backed down because something was difficult.
Nero oh Nero! He is being added to my Book Boyfriends list. He was rough, sexy and downright panty melting. He would do anything for Elle, he proved it more than once. It was never a time that I didn’t root for him.
The chemistry between these two was freakin’ scorching! I drank up every scene that they were together!
I think she was too good of a friend to Chloe. I know we don’t have the full backstory on Chloe but I don’t really see myself on her side right now. She was sort of weak person to me and took advantage of Elle and her coming to her rescue all the time. Well, I guess we will see what her story is in later books.
All in all, this book was amazing, great leads and the drama was there. I loved this book and can’t wait to read the next in the series.
