Hello, internet! My name is Lilian/Lily, whichever you’d prefer.
You know those jokes about falling down the stairs with a guitar and accidentally writing a 1D song along the way? I fall down the stairs with my phone, about to comment on Facebook or write a text, and instead I write a novel. Its quality is questionable…but its length! I’ve been admonished more than once, “This would be a great blog post!” I know that they’re really saying, “Please spare us your meanderings! What is your point, o horrid one?”… To their dismay, there is no point. I must lord my intelligence or lack thereof over these whom I call my friends. (Sigh.)
… Or I could start a blog? I guess that works, too. Before I can start such a thing, though, I feel obligated to introduce myself and my purpose(s) for this blog.
So … I’m Lilian. I’m a wannabe linguist/author/human who works as an elementary kitchen manager. One of my main hobbies is gaming- -though I usually only play relatable story-driven or otherwise mentally engaging games, video, board or card. My absolute dream job would be to localize games to English for a quality gaming company. I enjoy a plethora of other activities as well, though; I love to read, write, sing, dance, act, play pretend, adventure, and make memories.
I was raised as a Mormon, which does perhaps affect my mannerisms, ideologies and whatnot to an extent. I no longer practice, but while I don’t agree with the church’s recent policies/teachings, I still have friends of that faith and respect them, and still share many beliefs.
One thing that doesn’t define me but I’ll be writing about anyway is my transgender status. For those who don’t know, to be transgender is to be born into a biological sex (or assigned a sex at birth) with which one does not identify. In my case, I was born biologically male, but in heart, mind and soul, I am a girl. A dreadfully boring, apologetically heteronormative girl, but a girl, all the same.
My purpose for this blog is to give an outlet for my all-important thoughts, hoping it resonates with someone or even helps a smidgen.
Hope you enjoy my occasional rants!
~Lilian Onymous♡
PS–Here’s a thing! I’ll never be an English major ever again…. Not because of the picture attached, but because I hate writing essays with all my being.
