The Right End of the Boat

Can you be sure, you’re down the right end
Down the right end of the boat?
There’s only one end, and that be the right one
So follow along, and take note

The seas may be glassy, crystal clear
Misty grey, or mirror blue
The seas may be foaming, churning with high waves
Upon this, your journey so new

You may have joined Him, to find sweet peace
Or maybe to escape pain
You may have joined Him, longing for a pure love
Or you’re poor, and looking for gain

Just remember the boat has two sides
Narrow; but come take a seat
One end you’ll join the darkness of ruthless fear
Down the other, Jesus you’ll meet

Make a choice, even when waves are still
Step into the boat, and live
In darkness or brilliant light, you’ll be safe
But only with Him, peace He’ll give

He’ll speak into that need or burden
Get close, and Holy Breath feel
I know which end of the boat you will find me
Come join me, and at His feet kneel

“And He was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake Him, and say unto Him, Master, carest Thou not that we perish?

And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

And He said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” Mark 4:38-40
