This cover really grabbed my attention when it was first released, but I didn’t get around to picking it up until my Secret Sister sent it in my October box. I read it the week of Halloween, which was perfect timing with the spooky mystery and setting.
I did enjoy the story, but I may have hyped it up in my mind too much as I was mildly disappointed the whole time I was reading it. The characters didn’t grab me like they usually do. And I am all about following favorite characters that speak to me. They were quirky and interesting though. And I feel like this book will do very well in other people’s hands and libraries.
If you want something a spooky and mysterious, give this one a shot
